Guided tours

For more than 15 years, I offer walking tours through the historic center of Regensburg and give guests the possibility to learn about the eldest Jewish community in South Germany. In the Middle Ages, the community was a center of Jewish studies and a flourishing city of long distance trade. In modern times, the Jewish community built up a synagogue once again and was part of trade in Bavaria. During the 20th century, the members were expelled again. Those who were unable to flee were deported and murdered – to remember the victims of the Shoa, I will give you information regarding the art project of the “Stolpersteine” (Stumbling stones).
Nowadays, there is a community of nearly 1000 members. Are you interested in visiting the new synagogue (only on working days)? I’m pleased to spend time with you. You can make an arrangement by phone or using the contact form on the following page.
Yours sincerely
Sylvia
